Halloween Cocktails By Strongman's Tipple

Here is some Halloween-spiration for a SPOOKY-liscious cocktail party this year!

With Halloween just around the corner, if you're “scared” (sorry, I had to) that your party is missing that little something, but you don't quite know what, then “fear” (again, had to be done) no more! Strongman's Tipple have the ultimate gruesome yet delicious cocktails that are sure to mesmerise your guests!

Founder Tomas Lenko developed his skills as a bartender in London, winning awards and carving himself a name in the world of mixology.

“What makes him different from the rest?” You may ask...

Well, his passion to create new flavours using botanicals drove him towards experimentation - PLOT TWIST - with barrel aged cocktails! This entails pre-mixed drinks being placed in barrels for a few weeks, with the purpose of changing the cocktail's character and flavour.

With this in mind, he launched BOLD spirits London Ltd in 2013, with its first ever product being a spice cherry aperitif, which is now stocked across the capital. Tomas has since been commissioned for several events where he has provided drinks consultancy, a line of work he now continues with Strongman's Tipple, showcasing the wide range of craft spirits that have been created in London.

You're probably wondering who and what Strongman's Tipple are... Well, allow me to introduce you to a professional team of bartenders and mixologists, led by Tomas himself, that will work alongside your food caterers to ensure that your event planning goes down as smoothly as their cocktails!

So whether you are planning a small intimate gathering, or a large company event, Strongman's Tipple will tailor all cocktails to your specific needs... Speaking of which, here's a cheeky glance at their latest alcoholic inventions for some last minute inspiration this Halloween! But if your guests can't handle it... it's "because your party's just too SPOOKY-liscious for them"!

Recipe 2: Children of the Corn

What You'll Need

  • 50mL bourbon

  • 10mL  fenugreek and maple butter (recipe below)

  • 10mL sweet corn syrup (recipe below)

  • Dash of vanilla bitters

This is an Old Fashioned inspired drink. Serve this in a chilled rock glass over large ice cubes. Combine all ingredients in glass with ice, stir until glass becomes frosty.  Garnish with roasted corn slice.

To make the Fenugreek and Maple Butter:

  • 3 tablespoons fenugreek seeds

  • 2 tablespoons clarified butter

  • 150mL maple syrup

  • 50mL water

Lightly toast fenugreek seeds in a pan for 30 seconds.  Add clarified butter, once melted (20 seconds), turn off heat.  Add maple syrup and water and slowly heat up all the ingredients until combined, but do not let it boil.  Let cool, then strain.  Chill in fridge for 2 hours.  Remove any sediments on top of the liquid.

To make the Sweet Corn Syrup:

  • 2 sweet corns, husked

  • 5 cups of water

  • 4 cups of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Boil sweet corn in 5 cups of water.  When the water has reduced by about half (leaving about 2 cups of water in the pot), remove corn.  Add sugar into the water and heat gently until dissolved. Add vanilla.
