How To Create An Insta-Worthy Event

Juno Hire's Top Tips for creating an insta-worthy event

Will Brockbank, founder and managing director of creative Juno Hire believes to make a statement at your event, the detail really counts. Furniture and bars can help bring an event alive and help add a real edge. Here Will shares his top tops for creating a a fabulous, Instagram-worthy event this winter.

  • Define your event’s objectives - Find the perfect venue, create a clear theme and then think about the finer details, such as the furniture.

  • Clear up - Practically speaking, your venue should be kept clean and free of mess; having an overly-cluttered event space, or alternatively, a sparse one, will inevitably deter photo opportunities.

  • Create photo opportunities - you may already have eye-catching interiors but to really guarantee photo-taking, create specific spaces for Instagram snaps. These could be areas including stylish and unusual pieces of furniture, fun backdrops, selfie mirrors or photo booths.

  • Make a statement - with interior pieces. Statement furniture, decoration, artwork and installations will undoubtedly have guests tapping for their camera apps. Furniture in bold colours, prints and fabrics is a sure way to create key shots of your event.

  • Create a hashtag – this will encourage your guests to share snaps and create an online buzz. Your event will not only live on in your guests’ memory, but on their Instagram feeds for months to come!

  • Make it unique - Your hashtag should be specific enough for it to stand out in the sea of other tags but still be catchy and memorable for guests. Having #NYE2018 as your event hashtag, for example, is far too general. #SarahsNewYearsBall is better suited as it names the event and includes the main purpose of it; New Year’s Eve.

  • Spread the news - Let your guests know about the hashtag by including it on the invitations, menus, backdrops and/or selfie mirrors.

  • Sit back and enjoy - finally, after all the hard work, there’s nothing better than seeing all the great photos on your event’s hashtag once the evening comes to a close!
