Thornback and Peel’s Christmas Tableware
There are fewer things more atmospheric and more magical than a beautifully laid table on Christmas Day. Proper cotton napkins, table linens and matching accessories are most definitely a luxury but they can make all the difference, and if you can’t go all out at Christmas, then when can you?!
Juliet Thornback and Delia Peel met in 2003. While retaining their day jobs as a florist (Thornback) and theatre designer (Peel), they embarked upon their first collaboration, a series of handprinted clutch bags. They set up a studio in 2006 in London, and a year later they established Thornback & Peel to create beautiful, intricate screen-printed pieces for the home.
Their Christmas prints, which they have applied to beautiful cotton napkins, coasters, placemats, aprons, crackers, tea towels, serving trays and more, are absolutely gorgeous and add instant, sumptuous style and wow factor to any Christmas table. There are four stylish festive prints to choose from; Christmas Tree, Robin & Holly, Stag & Mistletoe and Turkey & Sprout, and they all look gorgeous on their own or when mixed and matched together.
You don’t need much of Thornback & Peel’s modern prints to create instant contemporary Christmas cheer – use just a few of their lovely coasters at a cocktail party, serve your mince pies on their cheerful Robin & Holly trays, place a few of their beautiful cotton napkins on your dinner party table for a touch of stylish luxury, or how about one of their fabulous aprons for the chef on Christmas Day?!
