The Queen of Hoxton's Moroccan Medina

TOAST takes a peek at Queen of Hoxton's enchanting Moroccan Medina

Looking for some inspiration on how to style a unique and enchanting Christmas do? Well take a look at Queen of Hoxton's stunning Moroccan Medina…

In amongst all the alpine and ski themed winter popups, Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch has been transformed into a unique and completely captivating Marrakesh-inspired hideaway that is both cosy, colourful and utterly enchanting, and it provides the perfect inspiration for creating something similarly exotic at home this winter.

Paying homage to one of the world’s most beguiling ancient cities, this gorgeous pop-up has been created by the in-house creative team at The Mothership Group (Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, Queen of Hoxton, The Book Club, and Patterns) and super talented festival production maestros Fables Creative - a multidisciplinary collective that focuses on illustrated, hand crafted stages, installations for events, festivals and club-nights around the country.

Inspired by the stunning Majorelle Gardens in Marrakesh, their beautiful Moroccan Medina has been created using canopies of fairy lights and twinkling Moroccan lanterns, a WigWam filled with rich carpets, cushions and low tables for guests to recline around, as well as giant cacti set against bright blue walls, and roaring cast iron fire pits for guests to admire whilst keeping warm.

TOAST has had a sneak peek around the venue, so if you’re looking for some inspiration for creating your very own Moroccan Medina at home, then feast your eyes on the below…

This winter Shoreditch’s Queen of Hoxton has been transformed into a hideaway inspired by the far-flung desert realms and romantic splendour of Marrakesh. Leave the grey city pavements behind and escape to a rooftop riad high above the streets of East London, where you’ll find a bar inspired by the intoxicating colours, sights and scents of Moroccan souks….
