Lady Tipplesworth's Recipe for Dreamy Festive Eggnog

There’s nothing quite like a good winter cocktail to help you get into the festive spirit, so TOAST has enlisted the expertise of glamorous cocktail guru Lady Tipplesworth to share one of her top holiday treats with us! Move over mulled wine, there’s a new festive tipple in town.



Cocktail guru Frankie Snobel (aka Lady Tipplesworth) has over a decade of mixology experience working at cocktail bars and events across the globe. Her company Tipplesworth, which creates stylish travelling cocktail cases and kits, is a combination of Frankie’s passion for mixing drinks and a love of mid-century vintage design. So who better to share a tempting festive tipple with TOAST?

“Christmas is all about relishing the time spent with family and friends and indulging in delicious food and drink.  Great cocktails are a must on my festive menu, and this means premium ingredients mixed with some TLC.  An amazing meal deserves some delightful cocktails served alongside it!” says Frankie.

Lady T's Recipe for Dreamy Festive Eggnog

Ingredients:

  • 3 pasteurized eggs (separated)
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar ( 2 tbsp added into yolks + 1 tbsp added into whites
  • 30ml dark rum, 30ml cognac, 30ml bourbon
  • 1 cup spice-infused whole milk*
  • ¾ cup double cream
  • Freshly grated nutmeg

Method:

In a bowl, whisk 3 egg yolks and add 2 tbls of sugar. Continue whisking and add 30ml rum, 30ml cognac, 30ml bourbon and 1 cup of the spice-infused milk*.

In a separate bowl, whisk 3 egg whites to soft peaks then add a tbsp of sugar. Fold this into your first bowl mixture. Then in the empty egg white bowl, whisk ¾ cup double cream to soft peaks.

Fold into main mixture and pour into a sealable container. Refrigerate overnight and shake before serving. Pour into a glass. 

*Spice-Infused Milk Recipe (used above): In a saucepan, gently heat whole milk with 1 cinnamon stick, 1 vanilla bean pod (split and seeds removed) and a teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg.

Once heated thoroughly, remove from heat and let fully cool, allowing the spice to steep.

Once cooled, fine strain out cinnamon sticks and vanilla pod.
